A true and sacred relic of my life journey, this is the rarest and most personally cherished piece for which I seek a new home. It is the last of the nine complete 12” x 16” paintings on glass that I created in the prodigiously productive winter-spring of 2016, one of the most profoundly potent phases of my art (and indeed life itself).

The ongoing odyssey of creating this series and sending its pieces to their homes has been one of incredible personal alchemy, life-changing wonder, and sustained conscious joy, beginning with ‘Amniotic Psychethedral’, which was the first real painting I ever sold. Now, ‘Between the Valleys of Shadow’ is the last jewel in the series that guided me through deep darkness and summed up my first three years of painting, preparing a majestic foundation for all art achievements since.

This painting has since taken on a wider significance as well. Humanity and in fact all life on earth have been undergoing an intense trial and initiation into our collective maturity as a responsible meta-organism. The promise of consciousness is to create a life of incredible beauty and joy, but on this path many contradictions present themselves and force higher forms of learning necessary to fulfill this promise. War, poison, corruption, cruelty, madness, and more afflict the mind on many levels, and their occurrence teaches us the ways of alchemy, the transformation of negativity into the true universal love which validates existence itself. But in this transformation, we realize that this love was always here, doing this work, which is just as much about remembrance as it is creation. Humanity is now realizing the depth of our predicament, and in this, the depths of our love and the power of joy. We are all just walking each other home! In fact, we are already there. The past is now. The future is now. Earth is now. Love is NOW. Awaken!
